Marc van den Muyzenberg
Director International Affairs

Marc is a historian and looks at governmental processes and administrative structures from a historical angle. Since 2003 he has been Director International Affairs at ROI and as of 2009 he is the Director of ROI.
Marc has many years of experience in training and public sector management especially in the field of public administration reform, capacity building and institutional strengthening of administrations and civil services, in the Netherlands, CEE, NIS, Middle East and East Africa . He is fully versed in donor policies through 10 years of experience as an international consultant and is familiar with EU project cycle management.
Before joining ROI Marc worked as a consultant and project manager at Span Consultants from 1997-2001, he was also Lecturer at Leiden University.

Mariette Baptist-Fruin
Trainer and Senior Advisor International/EU Affairs

Mariette was trained in civil law and legal anthropology at the University of Leiden. She is a qualified mediator registered at The Netherlands Mediation Institute and holds a Certificate as Master practitioner NLP from the New York Training Institute for NLP. Since 1998 she has been working with ROI, both as advisor and trainer in the field of the EU and mediation.
She has working experience in various EU Member States and the Western Balkans and has been involved in the development and use of mediation skills for managers and professionals, EU decision-making, development of competencies, curriculum development and development of innovative, blended learning training packages for civil servants.

Angela Kwok
Training Manager and Senior Advisor International Affairs

Angela has an MA in European Studies and has been working at ROI as senior advisor international affairs since September 2003. She has built up a considerable track record in projects on public administration reform, organisational development, training needs analysis and training of civil servants in developing countries. Angela has extensive experience in managing large international donor-funded projects and is familiar with EU project cycle management and public procurement.
Before joining ROI, Angela has worked at Berenschot International Solutions as project manager and consultant International Affairs from 1998 until 2003.

Danny in 't Veld
Junior Advisor International Affairs

After graduating with a major in Political Science and Geography from UCU, the international Honors College of Utrecht University, Danny joined ROI International in 2009.
At ROI Danny is primarily concerned with the procurement of new projects, is responsible for financial project administration, and assists in the organization and management of international study visits.
Before joining ROI Danny has worked at ABN AMRO as documentary credit officer.

Nathalie Veeren
Financial Administrator

Nathalie has been working as a financial administrator at ROI since September 2007. She is responsible for registration and payment of invoices, contacting clients regarding outstanding invoices and she is providing financial support to ROI’s international projects.
Before joining ROI, Nathalie worked as a financial administrator for various organisations in the private sector.
